A "normal" Windows version and an iPhone version of Pocket Phojo will make great workflow improvements for photo journalists.

The Windows version would be very useful for quick editing and sending via netbooks like eee. Actually I donŽt know of any other software that allows you to sort out images using the protect button.

It shouldŽt be that complicated to make this for Windows when the original software is made for Windows Mobile?

iPhone version is of course more complicated, but there are some great possibilities:
- wifi cards/cameras could send images to the iPhone via wifi, and then publish via 3G directly or after editing. Simple and great workflow for any camera, without PDAs or huge smartphones!
- The screen and graphics of the iPhone are very suitable for image editing
- The app store makes it easy to buy/sell the app, making the market bigger.

Great ideas?

(IŽll ask for the Mac version later Wink

Hi Urke,

Sorry for the delay. Try downloading IRES, then going to /Program Files/Idruna Remote Editing System, and running Photogenics.exe, on which IRES and Phojo are based. Photogenics has all the transmission features of Phojo and IRES, as well as full image editing support, it it just hasn't been polished recently to the extent that Phojo has, so the interface has a few rough edges.

I`d love to do an iPhone version, but the only way it could be used would be with the Canon/Nikon WiFi transmitters, at which point people lose interest. The Eye-Fi cards can't work with the iPhone, because the iPhone will not initiate the ad-hoc connection like Windows Mobile can.

Mac version is doable, I would just need a purchase commitment.
